Plans for the 2023 season
Press Release:
24 February 2023
After a great return to a full season of shows in 2022, Southwell Theatre Club is now steaming ahead with plans for our 2023 season. We've decided on our opening production - "Snake in the Grass" by Alan Ayckbourn which will be in early May - and there will definitely be a new murder mystery to bring to life in December. Our resident writer is already gathering her ideas for Monsieur Parrot’s next challenge, but we'll keep you in suspense as to whether it's another panto-based one or not... we had some fabulous feedback after 'Sleeping Gorgeous-Beauty' so you never know what path this one will take. And although we have some ideas in the mix for our Autumn production, we’re still considering our options so that one is yet to be confirmed. Have no fear though, we will definitely be bringing three shows to Southwell Library again this year - we've already booked the dates!
We now hold regular social evenings to spend a bit of time together, share thoughts and discuss ideas for future shows. They are also the perfect opportunity for anyone who is thinking of joining us to find out a bit more about who we are and what we do, without any commitment. If you've got an interest in theatre but haven't yet stepped out into the limelight, and think that this is the year to give it a go, then please come along and say hello. You'll find us in (or somewhere near) the conservatory at The Admiral Rodney in Southwell from 7:30pm until about 9:00pm on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. We'd love to see you at our next social on Tuesday 14th March.
