Membership

Southwell Theatre Club is always pleased to welcome new members to the fold.

We don't currently do 'Open Auditions' so to be involved with one of our productions you do need to be a current member.

Whether your interest is on stage, directing, backstage, technical or simply front of house, please do get in touch.

With most of our performances taking place at Southwell Library we are very much a local amateur theatre group, performing in the heart of our local community.  We need to be able to rig set, lighting and sound within a short timeframe before each show - and it's fully struck after each performance to enable the library to get back to being a library!

We encourage members to get involved with all aspects of the club and what it takes to put on a great show.

We don’t currently have a junior section but there are other clubs in the area that do.

Monthly Social Meetings

** Our monthly social meetings are back - as from Tuesday 13th September**

When:   First Tuesday of the month

Where:  The Conservatory at The Admiral Rodney, King Street, Southwell

Time:     7:30pm (till about 9pm)

If you want to find out more about what's involved with becoming a member, please feel free to come along - you don't need to tell us in advance as there will always be someone there to greet you!

Rehearsals

Rehearsals usually start about 3 months before production dates.  They are often on Monday and Wednesday evenings (7-9pm) but we like to be flexible depending on the availability of cast and rehearsal venue.

How the Club is Run

The club has a management committee of 5 members who are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting.  Our AGM is held in January, to which all members are invited.

Annual membership fee of £10 per person; payable at the AGM.

This contributes to our insurance and any operating costs such as rehearsal space.
