This year, Southwell Theatre Club is proud to celebrate 75 years of performances and community. Since our first production in October 1950, the club has continued to bring quality theatre to our audience, and we are excited to mark this special anniversary.

To celebrate, we’ll be revisiting some of the early productions that helped shape the club, starting with Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit in May. We’ll also be hosting a special gathering in the summer, inviting all members, past and present, to come together and share memories of our time on stage.

In October, we plan to present the very first play the club ever performed—a true piece of our history. We’ll keep the details under wraps for now, but we hope you’ll join us for this special production.

Additionally, we’ll be displaying a selection of posters, photographs, and memories in Southwell Library throughout October to highlight the club’s journey over the years. It’s a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our past and celebrate all that we’ve accomplished.
