Southwell Theatre Club’s production for spring, is to be ‘Imaginary Lines’ by Reginald Oliver. Described as a dotty look at life and love, the play was originally directed by Alan Ayckbourn in 1985 at Scarborough. The play takes its title from the things we wish we could say - or wish we had said - often to the opposite sex. Through a series of asides, the audience is given a glimpse of what the characters are really thinking, in contrast with what they actually say. ‘Imaginary Lines’ is a witty and observant piece, with the difficulties of communication, relationships, and missed opportunities at its heart.
