After two years without them, this year we are making a return to our popular winter murder mysteries with ‘Sleeping Gorgeous-Beauty – The Murder Mystery Panto!’

Two conmen have bought a small run-down estate, hoodwinking tourists that it’s the historic site of a parallel ‘Sleeping Beauty’ fairy story. The witch they say had a bad habit of cursing princesses. But things start to go wrong when their tale takes on a life of its own; a real prince arrives to awaken the princess with a kiss, fairy tale characters appear, and gold fever affects everyone! Someone of course will die. Can the audience work out whodunnit?! 

Written by Janet Smith, directed by Pat Munro, and with special effects by Andrew Hills, public performances are on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th December, 7:30pm at Southwell Library, King Street, Southwell, NG25 0EH. Doors and bar open 7pm. Tickets are £10 each, which includes a light supper, available in person from Southwell Library or online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/SouthwellTheatreClub.
